Are we ever going to launch???

Our daughter and son had arranged a surprise Bon Voyage and 35th Wedding Anniversary Party for us with family & friends, some of which we had not seen for years and some who without them we would not be able to do what we are planning to do.  It was a total shock and we can't thank them enough for all the effort and love put into making what was a fabulous day 💛💙💗💋.

April 1st arrived and we knew we weren't going to be able to leave, not only did we still have loads to do but the boat was still on the marina hard.

The weather had started off great in March but by the time April arrived it was like we'd had our summer and autumn had begun again.....it was freezing.

Time seemed to be going so quickly and then a friend told us.....just go, you'll never be ready and that was the push we needed to say 'okay, let's launch'.  Eventually late April we launched, still needing to complete jobs but at least we were back in the water.  Also, for some reason we both felt it was so much colder being out of the water than in the water, we were warmer at last 😃.

We were only able to live on Cordelia for all these years because we had installed a Morso Squirrel Woodburner.  It was a god-send on many many occasions.  However, this was one of the things we had decided to uninstall and sell.  It was only on Marketplace for 20mins and it was sold but it then meant we had no heating as the blower heater was out waiting to be repaired.

Steve is also a hoarder and we had several things that we needed to sell.  Three other dinghy's, an anchor, 2 cars and half a container load of bits.

We have stored some of our personal possessions but all our goods & shackles had to go.
